The kitchen upgrade is the single most impactful home investment — it unlocks cooking recipes that boost stamina and serve as high-value gifts. Farm expansion slots directly increase your earning capacity. The workshop unlocks crafting hobbies that produce giftable items. The coffin bed's rest bonus speeds up night-cycle recovery, giving more productive hours each night. Character customization has no limit with the Alter Ego Elixir.

Home upgrades are expensive early game — the kitchen alone costs 500g + 20 Wood. Farm expansion costs escalate rapidly (1500g → 3000g per slot). Furniture is purely cosmetic with no gameplay benefit. The workshop requires significant material investment before hobbies become productive. Room layouts are fixed — you can't add new rooms, only upgrade existing ones.
