Farming in Moonlight Peaks revolves around two crop types: Cursed and Enchanted. Cursed crops (pumpkins, nightshade, shadow wheat) are your sustenance as a vampire and can be watered normally. Enchanted crops (roses, luna seeds, ghost peppers) require the Aquaflux spell to water — without it, they wither. The gold-per-minute (GPM) metric determines true profitability: a crop that sells for 200g but takes 4 nights has a GPM of 50g, while a 300g crop over 10 nights yields only 30g/min. Kegs and Drying Racks add value by processing raw crops into higher-priced goods, dramatically improving GPM for crops like pumpkins and nightshade. Seasonal windows matter for Luna Seeds — miss the planting window and you wait a full cycle.

Farming is the most reliable income source in Moonlight Peaks. Once established, crops produce every night with minimal effort (especially with the Frictionless Farming Tonic). Kegs provide passive income — set them up and collect gold each night without further action. Cursed crops double as both sustenance and sellable goods, meaning you never waste a harvest. The Aquaflux spell waters 24–48 crops at once, making large-scale farming effortless. Drying Racks are cheap to build and turn foraged herbs into steady supplementary income.

Early game farming is slow — you start with no Kegs, no spells, and limited crop plots. The wand quest (Night 18) is a hard gate: no Aquaflux means no enchanted farming. Kegs take time to process goods, creating cash flow gaps. Seasonal Luna Seeds punish missed planting windows. Farm expansion costs escalate quickly (1500g → 3000g per slot). Enchanted crops are risky investments — if you run out of mana mid-harvest, crops can wither before you finish watering them all.
